'Varuna placed the stars in the sky and split heaven and earth asunder.'
This one line explains so much about the Nakshatras of Vedic Astrology and their function.
Nakshatras are deeply related to the Moon, responsible for our sensory mind and Consciousness, the way we subjectively see things. The Moon is also connected to the Oceans, the ebb and flow of the tides.
Varuna is connected to the Oceans as well. Plus, as we see, responsible for the stars or Nakshatras themselves as well as the rectification of Cosmic Law.
We can say that the Nakshatras are connected to the waves of the mind, the condition in which our consciousness plays its game of karmic reconciliation. In each moment we are subject to these waves.
We get to practice being more reflective of our Soul much like the full moon. And at times, our capacity to reflect that light is disrupted.
Nakshatras are speaking the language transmitted from the Cosmos, to your Soul and finally to your Consciousness.
Learn to listen to the stories they are telling you.
Pay attention!
"When Varuna and I embark together and urge our boat into the midst of ocean, We, when we ride o'er ridges of the waters, will swing within that swing and there be happy."
